ADOGS, a non-profit organization, is an abondoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer gruop that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs at Gimje shelter since 2018.
We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt mainly from Gimje shelter that we can rescue smoothly for human and geographical reasons.
We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
Until 2018, Gimje shelter was a place where more than 90% of dogs died from euthanasia and natural death.
ADOGS, which started with the representative volunteer who wanted to save dying dogs here, has found more than 800 dogs' families since September 2020, when we officially started counting.
Although we can't save all abondoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.

About Rescue
Rescue from abondoned dogs shelter
As of 2020, the population of pets in Korea is exceeding 15 million, but the number of abondoned animals is 825,000 according to 2018 statistics, of which 20% are not adopted and euthanized.
Although abondoned dog shelters are run by the country, due to the lack of subsidies, abandoned animals who stay in city shelters in poor conditions for a long time will have a long way to be adopted. The dogs that have not been adopted for such a long time are naturally subject to euthanasia.
ADOGS, which aims at a society without euthanized abondoned animals, resuces and treats them in our shelter or each foster homes so that they can start new lives more smoothly. Also we promote adoption to new families after healing their physical and mental wounds.
Rescue from illegal breeding grounds / dog farms / poor breeding conditions
Many animals in poor conditions such as illegal breeding grounds, edible dog breeding farms, abused animals, countryside animals tied in short strings and left unattended, in discriminate bredding and childbirth under irresponsible neglect of dog owners, etc, are exposed to diseases and are euthanized or treated for food.
We, ADOGS who values the life and safety of all animals is working to rescue animals from these abused situations and make them live new life.
